This week I got three comics. Ex-Machina Special 2 (of 2), Fear Agent 5, and Local 5. Not a big week but all the books are solid. I also picked up another cheap video game, the first Buffy game for XBox. It got good reviews when in came out in ’02 and was only $5.38 tax included. No more cutting edge for me.
Fear Agent #5
Apparently, getting your guts stomped out of you body is not fatal. The transission form issue 4 to 5 is my main complaint about this book. At the end of 4, Fear Agent is getting squished, and then at the beginning of 5, he’s flying out of a building. Huh???? In my opinion, the weakest issue so far in what has been a great series. The new artist is not nearly on par with the old, either.

Green Lantern Corps #1
I like this book and it’s preceding miniseries. It’s good, solid superheroing. Will it make me forget Dark Knight or Watchmen? No. But it’s still fun.

Wyrms #1
Based on some Orson Scott Card Fantasy/Sci-Fi book, it’s not as good as Red Prophet, but still worth reading. And talking severed heads are always kewl.

Superman Returns Prequel #2: Ma Kent
Explores the deep mystery that is Ma Kent. Whatever. Howcum she’s not as hot as Annette O’Toole? Still, it’s not bad for what it is.

Peanuts Collected 1959 to 1960
This will remind you why Peanuts is considered by many folks (myself included) to be the greatest comic strip ever (followed closely by Calvin & Hobbes). Pick it up if you want to live.
